It may not be the most appealing fairytale you ever read but it has created a lasting impression and a foundation of my professional life as a nurse. As with all events, it began on a day that was rather beautiful outwardly or to the eyes because I was fighting with a gloomy and disappointing thought of what to do with my life after not securing an admission to study Medicine in a reputable institution in Nigeria. I was so preoccupied with my thoughts that I didn’t hear what my mom had suggested to me. I love being a woman said a friend I’ve known since birth! I smiled as if I was affirming her thoughts only to realize that that friend was the same person :) I recently thought of how privileged I am to be a woman especially in this age where there seems to be strive about women trying to competing with the male figure. I had to ask myself how I cannot be bothered about trying to prove to my husband or any man that I am better than him. As always, I turned to my favourite book in the world -the Bible. The bible has countless treasures that satisfies and quenches every thirst for wisdom, guidance and instruction.
