QUALITIES OF A VIRTUOUS WOMAN (PROVERBS 31)

I love being a woman said a friend I’ve known since birth! I smiled as if I was affirming her thoughts only to realize that that friend was the same person :)

I recently thought of how privileged I am to be a woman especially in this age where there seems to be strive about women trying to competing with the male figure. I had to ask myself how I cannot be bothered about trying to prove to my husband or any man that I am better than him. As always, I turned to my favourite book in the world -the Bible. The bible has countless treasures that satisfies and quenches every thirst for wisdom, guidance and instruction.

In Proverbs chapter 31 from verse 10, the bible provides a detailed outline of how a virtuous woman acts, the qualities that make her virtuous and most importantly to me, a model that every contemporary Christian woman can and should emulate in order to fully live the life God has blessed her with.

The various qualities I uncovered from the verses are:

Valuable   Trustworthy  Continually good  Industrious  Prudent  Diligent  Entrepreneurial  Strong  Attentive  Hard Working  Compassionate  Proactive  Modest in appearance  Admirable   Speaks wisely   Honourable   Fears the Lord  Watchful   Lovable
