BEING A WOMAN :THE TRUE DEFINITION OF A WOMAN

We live in a world that teaches girls to place more value on their physical appearance than their intellectual abilities and talents.
We’ve been defined by our sexuality, attractiveness and beauty.

Where being ambitious, intelligent and assertive as a lady is not only seen as arrogance but also as a threat to having a happy home or finding true love.

We have been told to fit into the limiting societal expectation as if being a woman is a crime.
We are being applauded for letting our dreams fade in front of our eyes while we so passionately fan the desires of the other sex.

We’ve been told to put up with inhumane acts and abuses of various kinds because we want to have a false sense of being patient and virtuous.

We have allowed our bodies to be an object of sexual satisfaction for males.

But the truth is that we cannot be put in a box. We were conceived in the mind of God and endowed with so much beauty and richness beyond our widest imaginations. In us lies the spirit and power to transform the world for the better.

By embracing our uniqueness, we rekindle the liberating will to awaken the slumbering giant in us and give ourselves the permission to live life fully, deeply, and to the truest expression of ourselves.

Our true identity, value and worth lies in unleashing the power in us with our personalities, emotions, smiles, gentle touch, heart of gold, soothing voice. As women, we owe the world the responsibility to allow our flowers blossom, our lights shine and our beauties used the right way.

Give yourself the permission to be the girl who loves to use her voice to change life, to savour the moments she’s in the kitchen doing what she loves, in a formal gathering presiding over a meeting. Do what you love. Live life to the fullest. Don’t be afraid to dream big. Don’t settle for less.  Raise your standards.

History chronicles the inspiring examples of women like Sojourner Truth, Margeret Fuller, Mother Theresa, Rosa Parks , Maya Angelou who took powerful steps of raising their standards. The same power is available to you freely if you have the courage to claim it.
Changing the limiting societal beliefs and expectation of you as a woman begins with the simple step of changing yourself.

Don’t fit into the limiting socially constructed beliefs. Be intentional about being unique, being you, being assertive, a cause for positive change, own your voice and walk with your head held high.

BE YOUR OWN KIND OF WOMAN DEVOID OF SOCIETAL INFLUENCE.

Thoughts about that kitchen waste..STOP THE PROCRASTINATION!!!

THOUGHTS ABOUT THAT KITCHEN WASTE:PROCRASTINATING THAT SOLUTION Hey lovelies!!! It is my first blog and I am so happy to welcome you all to join me in this fabulous journey. I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts and health tips so let's get started. I got inspired by a discussion I had recently about a huge challenge that is hindering us from achieving our schedules and desired goals and I decided to remind us about it and offer a little tip on how to deal with it. Let's start with overcoming the problem of procrastination. Many of us can identify with the problem of procrastination,- those times when you feel something needs to be done but then you postpone it for a more convenient time, until it becomes a nuisance and then you're forced to deal with it but more urgently than you would want to.  We often pay little or no attention to this problem in disguise. I have a good example of this from a very special room in our home which is our kitchen . We may feel l...

I am very passionate about sharing my nursing experience with others. Having studied and practiced as a nurse in two continents, different cultural settings and nursed people in all levels of social class, age, and gender, I think a have a little wealth of knowledge to share with you. My main aim of writing of this blog is to provide some insights about the approach and mode of nursing in Finland and Nigeria. Nursing in both countries are a lot similar in that they have and follow the core values of nursing in practice. The nursing values like human dignity, integrity, autonomy, altruism and social justice are held high. Nevertheless, the University of applied science Jyväskylä, in Finland and the Rivers state school of nursing, Nigeria have some differences in terms of how culture has influenced nursing, the expression of autonomy, the institutions where nursing can be studied, the use of technology and criteria for graduation. For a nursing student to be ready for g...
